We have made it to Newport Beach, CA. There are so many cool spots to explore! So far our favorite is the park with the cable netting made like rat lines. It's so cool and we can see the "wedge" from the top! (The wedge is a famous surf spot here - looks like you'd have to be a great surfer to survive!) We found a great spot to eat with really good tacos! Mom loves it 'cause she doesn't have to cook! Katie our sailing coach from EYC took us there the first night we arrived and we've been back lots of times. Another great deal is getting to drive the dingy everywhere. We are moored out on a ball and so every time we go to shore we have to take the dingy. Both my brother and I are getting real good a driving and docking! The only worry we have is that a big sea lion doesn't decide to jump in it and sink it! They are always getting up on boats and destroying them! Maybe the picture of the big one we had beside the boat in Monterey will show up on our blog!

We had a sea lion come up and bump the boat the other morning. We think he was trying to jump onboard!
