Jungle Tour, San Blas

Things really mellowed after the experience of nearly surfing with the boat.  The "surf" was still there but we beat the breaking wave going in solo the next morning and had a little more water depth to play with.  San Blas turned out to be a wonderful small town fairly untouched by the big tour groups.  We really had to use our Spanish here!  It was good for all of us and the boys even found a few local boys to play with language barriers and all!  We enjoyed a very colorful night of traditional dancing in the square as it was the first night of a week long celebration of birds.  There are over 400 kinds of birds that come to San Blas for mating season, the trees are full of all sorts and colorsWE took a small open boat called a Panga up the estuary for a "Jungle Tour".  Our guide did not speak any English so some of the names of species was lost but it was still fun!!  The boys loved seeing the crocodillas!!  Big and small.
